Taking Pride in Achievements

Making all parts of your facility look good is always a priority, so what do you do to convert a long and boring hallway into a practical and useful part of the facility? LifeQuest took an innovative approach by creating a Hall of Fame, a key element of the sales tour and a source of inspiration and pride for both members and staff.

The Hall of Fame, 50 feet long and 12 feet high, is decorated with awards, plaques, articles, pictures and trophies — all the result of valuable time, energy and money spent performing charity work and participating in the community. Items displayed in the Hall of Fame include business awards, community accolades and articles, fitness awards and articles (featuring staff and members) and endorsements from celebrities, athletes and politicians.

The Hall of Fame maximizes the staff’s goodwill, political capital and achievements prevalent in the eyes of existing and potential customers. Having one specific area to present all of their noteworthy achievements helps to reassure members and prospective members that they’ve made or are making the right buying decision. It is a strong psychological tool that dissolves any doubt that LifeQuest is the best club in their market.

According to LifeQuest President Wayne Caparas, word of mouth from people walking through the Hall of Fame is often more powerful than the actual media they initially received. And, he said, LifeQuest members boast of their club worldwide as they travel.

Staff confidence and increased morale is another benefit from the Hall of Fame, which helps attract new, quality staff while increasing loyalty of existing staff.

What a great way to turn a boring hallway into a source of inspiration!
